This Little v photo was taken on February 28, 2020, during Jim’s visit to the University of Iceland just after his talk on the Icelandic element -væða, which is a bit like English -ize in words like modernize but also a bit different, because it is more like the second part of a compound. Jim is an assistant professor at Yale University and he is one of the world experts on Icelandic morphosyntax, and a great friend.
