I was recently awarded a grant for developing methods to monitor neurological health conditions. I will lead the project as PI, along with postdoc Elena Callegari. Much of the development will take place at my Language and Technology Lab. The grant amount is about $530,000 at the present exchange rate.

The goal of this project is to develop speech analytics technology for monitoring neurological health through automatic language analysis. In the future, this technology will support Icelandic health professionals in identifying and monitoring cognitive decline associated with dementia and its preclinical stages.
