A "CP-CMP" only exists for comparatives where the object of the comparison contains real clausal structure, such as a verb or the gap of a verb. For simple non-clausal comparatives (e.g. "The dog is bigger than the cat", and the Icelandic equivalent without "than"), see ADJP.
