ÞAR SEM relatives:

Locative relative clauses like "þar sem", "þaðan sem", "þangað sem" are treated according to the PPCME2 guidelines for "There relatives":

Quoting from the PPCME2/PPCEME guidelines (http://www.ling.upenn.edu/~beatrice/annotation/syn-sub.htm#there_relatives):

"

THERE relatives

In the absence of both an antecedent and a complementizer, THERE relatives are treated as free relatives.

Relatives introduced by THERE and containing a complementizer (AS, THAT) are treated analogously to SE +TE relatives. THERE is treated as the antecedent unless another antecedent is present, in which case THERE occupies the wh- position and is labelled WADVP."

In Icelandic, an example with "þar sem" *and* an antecedent will be parsed as follows:

( (IP-MAT (CONJ og-og)
	  (VBP-IM3SP sést-sjá)
	  (ADVP-TMP (ADV nú-nú))
