Just as in PPCME2,PPCEME.
Direct and indirect questions are parsed CP-QUE.
Example with WPRO:
( (IP-MAT (CONJ en-en) (NEG eigi-eigi) (VBPI vitum-vita) (NP-SBJ (PRO-N vér-ég)) (, ,-,) (CP-QUE (WNP-1 (WPRO-N hvað-hver)) (C 0) (IP-SUB (NP-SBJ *T*-1) (VBPI veldur-valda))) (. .-.)) (ID PILTUR,.7))
Example with WADV:
(IP-INF (TO að-að) (VB-TA segja-segja) (, ,-,) (CP-QUE (WADVP-1 (WADV hvar-hvar)) (C 0) (IP-SUB (NP-SBJ (PRO-PFSN hún-hún)) (BED-IA3SD var-vera) (PP (P-A í-í) (NP (N-MSADC heim$-heimur) (D $inn-hinn))) (VAN-DAFSN borin-bera))))
Note that in cases where the clause is ambiguous between a CP-QUE and CP-FRL, CP-QUE is the default.
EF
When EF 'if' heads a question, it is tagged WQ:
(CONJP (CONJ og-og) (IP-SUB (NP-SBJ *con*) (VBDI spurðu-spyrja) (, ,-,) (CP-QUE (WQ ef-ef) (C 0) (IP-SUB (NP-SBJ (PRO-N hann-hann)) (BEDS væri-vera) (NP-PRD (NPR-N Kristur-kristur))))))))) (. .-.)) (ID HOMILIUBOK,.217))
Whether or not a complementizer position is filled, it is always included.
